NUARRO’S LAND-SIDE EXPERIENCES
Nuarro is blessed to have not only magnificent ocean frontage on the Bay of Nanatha, but to also be surrounded by an 800 hectare concession of land dotted with ancient baobab trees and surprise visitors like bush babies, with bird life to satisfy curious birdwatchers.
Massage…
Introducing Maria, our skilled masseuse who completed her training in Atelier Pó de Arroz in Portugal, bringing the art of relaxation to new heights. Prepare to unwind and rejuvenate with her magical touch, spectacular views and the soothing sound of the gently breaking waves.
Village Tours…
From Nuarro you can go for a Cultural Village Tour and visit the local village of Nanatha where you can meet the local Macua population.
Visit the school and meet the teachers. Encounter colourful village residents along the way. Have a tour through the Mosque, visit the lighthouse and wander around to the football field, where you may be lucky enough to catch a competitive, but festive game!
The tour is taken by our community representative, Feliciano, and takes around 1 hour, but you can really make this as long or as short as you like!
Exploring the bush…
The Nuarro peninsula has a large variety of birds and birdwatching becomes an informal activity that all guests partake in (whether they want to or not), as the sights and sounds of these feathered friends are a delightful daily occurence.
Take a walk through our bush concession (or hop a ride by car) and see what you can spot. Or just enjoy a walk through a multitude of ancient baobabs and see what else crosses your path before cooling off in the waters of one of the secret coves along our shoreline…
Picnics…
An absolute all-time favourite of our guests at Nuarro – whether a solo traveller, in-love honeymoon couple, or a family of 6 – beach picnics at Muarusi Beach are not to be missed!
We’ll pack you a box of goodies to eat and drink, some shade, comfy things to sit on and some snorkel gear if you feel so inclined. And then leave you in paradise…
