How much do your rooms cost?
The local Mozambican Residency rates are 7300 Meticais pp per night FB including meals, snacks, snorkeling from shore, kayaks, mountain bikes and one massage. We have 2 budget rooms as well.
SADC rates are 250 usd pp per night FB including meals, snacks, snorkeling, kayaks, mountain bikes and one massage. We have great specials. We have 2 budget rooms as well.
International rates are 350 usd pp per night FB including meals, snacks, snorkeling, kayaks, mountain bikes and one massage. We have great specials. We have 2 budget rooms as well.
Are there high and low season rates?
No we don’t have high and low season rates.
Are there rates for residents?
Yes we have special Mozambican Residency rates @ 7300 Meticias pp per night FB including meals, snacks, snorkeling, kayaks, mountain bikes and one massage.
What are the room options?
There are single, double, triple and family rooms. And we do have also 2 budget rooms.
Are there self-catering rooms?
No but we can cater for camping.
How much do you charge for children?
Children below 6 are staying for FREE, children between 6 and 12 years sharing the room with parents are getting 50% discount, children between 12 and 18 years old sharing the room are getting 25% discount.
Where is the nearest Airport and how far is the lodge from it?
Nacala airport is the closest and is a 2 hour drive from Nuarro. Nampula airport receives more flights and is a 4 hour drive from Nuarro. We can arrange private road or air transfers from either airport for you.
What is the best way to contact the lodge/what is the telephone number?
Due to the remote location the cell phone reception can be poor, email or Whatsapp work best as we have a satellite internet connection.

Try to email or send sms or Whatsapp messages, sometimes the cellphone reception is poor but we have a satellite internet connection.
Where is Nuarro Lodge?
GPS coordinates S14.12.183 E 40.40.645 80km north of Nacala by road, head to Nacala Velha, then to 7 De Abril (which takes about 30 mins.). There you turn right at the signpost for Nuarro on the Baxa Pinda/Geba road and continue on it for about 1 hour following the signs.
Are day visitors welcome?
Yes, day visitors are welcome to come and have breakfast/lunch/dinner at the lodge and are able to make use of the facilities. Divers who wish to come for the day are advised to inform us in advance to ensure everything is ready for them upon their arrival.
How far is Nuarro from Maputo?
About 2500km, it is best to fly from Maputo to Nacala. www.lam.co.mz/en has flight details.
Is there transport from Nampula/Nacala direct to Nuarro Lodge?
We can arrange private transfers from Nacala and Nampula by road or charter flight to our private airstrip.
Is the lodge closed during any period of the year?
We close from January the 15th to March the 15th for international bookings due to inclement weather during this time of year. Regional guests are still welcome but we do recommend contacting us to enquire about weather conditions.
